Singpilot First debut of the world's first driverless FOLLOW ME vehicles at the ASIA Largest Cargo airport EZhou Huahu Airport Hubei, China

As a leading driverless solution provider in China, Singpilot.AI has been supporting and participating in the construction of Ezhou Smart Airport. On 30th, November, Singpilot.AI was invited to attend the National Civil Airport Construction Management Conference held in Ezhou City, Hubei Province.

On that day, in the presence of leaders from Hubei Provincial Government, Civil Aviation Administration of Traffic Management Bureau and Airport Groups, Singpilot.AI, as the only enterprise to show guided vehicle of driverless aircraft within airport full working process, including its waiting, identification, guidance, positioning, disengagement and repositioning for aircraft, achieving complete demonstration of automatic aircraft berthing and confirming its strong technological strength in the field of driverless driving.

Assist CAAC in issuing  Driverless Equipment Application in Airport

It is understood that the Road Map of Driverless Airport Equipment Application in Airport, drafted by Singpilot.AI and other enterprises and examined and approved by CAAC, is officially released to the whole industry at this conference. This road map aims to promote the pilot application of driverless driving equipment in domestic civil aviation airports, take the lead in establishing operation rules and standard systems in the world, thus forming an airport driverless driving inspection technology platform which is replicated and popularized.

It has great development demand and advantages for the application of driverless equipment in civil airports, meanwhile, some barriers also exist, such as in the fields of equipment standard system, equipment inspection and verification, airport security and operation management. These barriers need to be broken. For this reason, Singpilot.AI actively assists Ezhou Airport in initially establishing the standard system of guided vehicles for driverless aircraft and in giving strong technical support. Singpilot.AI  Focusing on Driverless Solution and Autonomation Application in airport

With the continuous upgrading of artificial intelligence technology over the past few years, driverless technology has been developed greatly and ushered in the application for many scenes, such as its application in airport logistics as one of the typical scenes. Ezhou Huahu Airport is a professional cargo airport with the ranking of No.1 in Asia and No.4 in the world, serving as the first group of experimental units to enhance comprehensive supports of aviation logistics and, as a model of four-type airport(taking peace, green, wisdom and humanity as the core). Since its engineering construction, Ezhou Huahu Airport has widely adopted innovative digital technologies and has actively explored  for the fields of digital construction and automatic driving, contributing its experience of the construction of smart airports.

Singpilot.AI’s driverless scheme for logistics in airports includes guided vehicles for driverless aircraft, driverless ferry minibus, driverless luggage tractor, mobile power van, smart platform lift vehicle and vehicle management platform.

For example, the SingBus works in Ezhou Airport, it has the L4 automatic driving ability and can achieve smart single-vehicle through multimodal integration sensing algorithm. In addition, it can bring a safe and smooth automatic driving experience of the combination of collaborative strategy involving vehicle-road-cloud related to smart network. It is now mainly applied to such scenes as employees commuting to airport apron, ferrying of flight crew and transportation of individual passengers.

 

Singpilot.AI   Achieve the sole new guidance mode of aircraft  in the world

In response to the country’s promotion for high-quality development planning of logistics and build four-type airport(taking peace, green, wisdom and humanity as the core) as well as the implementation of smart logistics, both Air Traffic Management Bureau and Hubei International Logistics Airport actively promote the automation and intelligence level of Ezhou Airport and air traffic management, ushering in and accelerating air traffic management technology.

The Fewer Employee Air Apron Office of Ezhou Huahu Airport, which was established 3 years ago, focused on the construction planning of Automatic Driving within Air Apron and Fewer Employee on Air Apron at its initial stage. Driverless Vehicle Department, put forward a new guidance mode of aircraft taxiing under the concept of A-SMGCS, that is, driverless guided vehicle as visual guidance equipment is introduced into Ezhou Huahu Airport to replace current common LED lamp navigation guidance at the airport at night.

Since December 2018, Singpilot.AI, as the first tech company to develop guided vehicles of driverless aircraft, has actively developed and tested prototype of guided vehicle for driverless aircraft and has submitted phase reports many times. In October 2020, Singpilot.AI won the competition of guided vehicles held in Hubei International Logistics Airport with the first place. In August 2021, it completed the test and acceptance of the second-generation guided vehicle for driverless aircraft on the same airport. Three years’ hard work has seen Singpilot.AI’ investment in driverless development both in manpower and resources. Singpilot.AI has cooperated with Ezhou Airport and Laise to achieve the only new guidance mode of aircraft taxiing, initially forming a complete framework system of aircraft automatic berthing.

In the course of cooperation between Singpilot.AI and Ezhou Airport, both parties realized that the guided vehicle for driverless aircraft as global pioneer adopted a large number of new ideas, new technologies, giving birth to a lot of emerging products. As such, they have jointly applied for relevant patents, laying a solid foundation for further product research and development, testing and operation.

 

Singpilot.AI    Full-stack driverless technology assists smart airport

The increasing sorties of taking off and landing of flights in recent years have led to more and more airport guarantee pressure. As a result, traditional management ideas and methods have been difficult to effectively deal with low operating efficiency and traffic jam.

Singpilot.AI’s guided vehicle for driverless aircraft, equipped with advanced laser radar, millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic-wave radar, visual camera sensor and automatic driving controller, embedded self-developed middleware with independent intellectual property rights as well as leading AI algorithms for positioning, perceiving and navigation, has automatic driving functions involving complex environment perception, intelligent decision-making and collaborative control, thus serving a new-generation airport equipment to operate and guarantee operation within airports.

It is understood that Singpilot.AI guided vehicle for driverless aircraft can work continuously for 12 hours and reach L4 automatic driving, it is the only full electric vehicle on the market that can realize automatic driving speed of 90km/h and guiding speed of 50km/h. This guided vehicle, combining GNSS positioning and laser radar SLAM positioning, adopts self-developed positioning system and different positioning strategy based on changing environment to reach 1cm level for positioning accuracy, more than 20 meters for detection distance of small obstacles and more than 150 meters for large objects such as aircraft or buildings.

Besides, such guided vehicle for driverless aircraft supports all-weather operation. It can receive dispatching instruction and drive on the planned route, can show instruction information on LED panel such as flight number, flight location number, going straight, turning or stopping, can guide aircraft to taxi towards flight location as the end of guidance, that is to say, it can autonomously complete full working process, including its automatic waiting, identification, guidance, positioning, disengagement and repositioning for aircraft.

In addition to having full driverless solutions to logistics airports, Singpilot.AI also stood out from competition with its strong scientific and technological innovation in 2021. It won the first prize of ITS Innovation Special Competition(Intelligent Track) in the 29th World Intelligent Transportation Conference Innovation Competition and the 2nd “Gusu Cup” Youth Intelligent Transportation Innovation Technology Application Competition, then in the Beijing-Tianjin—Hebei Regional Contest as a part of the 4th “Zhanfang Cup”5G Application Competition, it won the second prize with its intelligent driving application demonstration platform applied in the phase I infrastructure of Zhong Guan Cun science and technology city in Beijing and Tianjin. Besides, its dispatching platform system was listed in the Proposed Project by Policy Fund in the name of Supporting Innovative Development of China Speech Valley in 2021.
